Business Development Lead

We're looking for a BD Lead who knows how to win high-value design and product engagements from VC-backed startups and enterprise teams. You'll be the bridge between ambitious founders and the studio — identifying the right opportunities, structuring relationships, and helping clients understand what world-class product work actually looks like.

Requirements

3+ years of BD, sales, or partnerships experience in a design studio, agency, or tech company
Track record of closing $50K–$500K+ engagements with technical or product buyers
Fluency in product design and engineering — you can hold a real conversation with founders and CPOs
Strong network in the startup and VC ecosystem
Active AI user — you use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity as part of your daily workflow, not occasionally
Experience using AI to enhance prospecting, proposal writing, or research — and can speak to specific results
Able to build or configure lightweight AI-powered tools (n8n, Make, Notion AI, custom GPTs) to automate repetitive BD tasks
Excellent written communication — proposals, decks, and email that convert
Self-directed and comfortable operating without a large team behind you
